Meet Ayo Oyebade—Associate Producer, Accountant, Actor, Gentle Giant

Some say that Associate Producers do very little to earn the title, I beg to differ. On the set of the Shameful Deceit movie, Ayo Oyebade earned the title .

A shy, tall, warm, generous gentle giant, Ayo worked tirelessly behind the scenes of the movie, prepared the budget, assisted with casting and was in charge of transportation.

Ayo was born in Kingsbury, sharing his birthday with Prince Charles (not year though!!). He spent his formative years in Lagos, Nigeria and is ever so grateful for the experience. He was a pioneer of Government College Ketu, which remains one of the best colleges in Lagos State.

Returning to the UK, he worked for the now defunct GLC, while continuing his studies, becoming a qualified accountant and setting up freelance practice alongside full-time employment with various companies.

Ayo is the father of a young lady, Natalie, who is a Speech and Language Therapy graduate of City University.

Being a film buff, Ayo took a few courses in, Film School - writing, directing and shooting a three minute film, along with fellow students; Production Management; Producing; and, Screenwriting.

Ayo expresses his gratitude to Theodora Ibekwe, who gave him the opportunity o get involved in a major film production. Shameful Deceit is a study in the breakdown of a family as a result of infidelity, with twists and turns and lessons to be learned. It of course stars multi-talented Theodora Ibekwe - PR Guru, Events Organiser, Charity Fundraiser, Actress & Film Producer; Gambian femme fatale, Fatima Jabbe; veteran actors Lanre Balogun and Moji Bamtefa; and many other talents. Directed by the renowned Ruke Amata from the Amata Movie Dynasty; Cinematography by Nelson Spyk.

Ayo even had a small role in the movie but feels more comfortable behind the camera. However, he has since featured in three music videos and had small roles in Fatima Jabbe's tearjerker, Battered and Francis Uwadi's Heartless Carer.

Shameful Deceit premieres at the Greenwich Odeon on Friday, 5th July 2013.

Ayo remains an Accountant, most of his clients being in the entertainment industry. He is looking forward to doing some more acting and producing his own movie in the near future.

We say, best wishes, Ayo, in all your endeavours, God bless you.
